A few caveats to these pictures: 1) The owners are still in the home so all of their furniture and stuff is still there; it's kinda hard to imagine some spaces with our things in them. 2) The owners were actually home during the the inspection, so sometimes I didn't get the pictures I really wanted. That's okay. We had a nice time chatting and getting to know them. 3) The pictures really don't do it justice. So you'll just have to come on over for a visit some time after we move in. :)
We'll start with the entrance.
I've always wanted an entryway big enough for a little table. Yay! There's a coat closet to the left there.
To the right are the stairs down to the basement. The stairs go down to a little landing, turn, and then continue down to the basement.
Here's the living room. It will look really different when we move in, mainly because we won't have any furniture! (The ugly couches will all be down in the basement. Hooray!) Behind that wall is the kitchen.

A close up of the fireplace. To be honest, I could live without a fireplace in the house. But ALL houses have them out here, so oh well. To the right is the entrance to the master suite.
Let's go back to the kitchen. (The lighting was hard to work with here.)
It's a good-sized kitchen with decent appliances and laminate flooring.
Just off of the kitchen is the first screened-in porch. So awesome! I hope to get some patio furniture on clearance this fall to put out there.
I love that there's a fan out there, too! And here's a better view of the playset. The boys were excited to see this picture. :)
Right off of the kitchen is the laundry room. (And right next to the laundry room is the entrance to the garage.)
This room is actually a pretty good size; it's just hard to show in pictures. We're planning on adding a bunch of shelving. I love that the utility tub is in there!
Next, the garage! It's actually recessed, so there's room for three cars. (We're just happy to be able to put two cars in!)
Here are the stairs from the garage down to the basement. We plan on finishing these eventually.
We decided to check out the attic. Awesome that it has pull-down stairs. Sweet.
On the other end of the house (just off of the living room) is the master suite.
There's an entrance to the second screened in porch in the master suite. I imagine myself out there reading in the morning, just like on the cruise. Only with the kids bugging me and we're not in the middle of the ocean and there's no one to make me breakfast. *sigh*
Here's the second screened in porch. I want to put a nice porch swing out there. You can also get to this porch from the living room.

Next, over to the boys' bathroom. Yikes! Yes, that bathroom is yellow.
Very yellow. This will be one of the very first re-painted rooms, because yellow... in a bathroom...? You know where I'm going with this, right?
But you know which room might get painted first? Cole's.
Yowza. PINK. Very PINK. It seriously hurts my eyes when I go in, it's so bright. Too bad we just don't have any little girls to put in here! (I suspect we'd still tone it down a bit, even if we did have a girl.)
Now over to Spencer and Josh's room, which is right next to the duck bathroom. I think we'll put their beds in the same place.

I'm not usually into wallpaper borders, but this isn't so bad. And it already matches their current room color scheme.
Now down to the basement. The stairs are through that door on the left. The green room is a bonus/storage room, and the room just off of the storage room (that you can see open) is my office, which I am graciously sharing with Lance. Spencer and Josh's computers will probably go in that corner where the toy kitchen is.
I never got a picture of the family room, where our TV will go. But I did get a few shots of the wet bar, which is down there as well. I. Lurve. It.
Why yes, that is a beer tap there. I think we'll be replacing that with a small range. We're kinda boring like that. :)
There's a full bathroom and bedroom off of the family room. I suspect we'll put Spencer down there in a year or two. For now, it's perfect for when grandparents want to come visit! (*hint*hint*)
And here's the bonus/storage room. I want to keep our food storage and pantry items down there. Plus our big freezer. It's actually a good-sized room, but it was hard to get a full picture of it.
And here's a couple shots of the office. I think the magenta makes it look really dark and small, so I hope to paint it something lighter and prettier soon. And yes, it is MY office. But I'm being kind and leasing Lance a corner.
Now let's go check out the outside. One would think I would have gotten a picture of the entire front of the house. One would be wrong. But here's the front porch.
And here are a bunch of the flower beds. I know, not that exciting. But I'm hoping my dad and brother Kyle will see them and help me decide which bushes to get rid of (I've already decided on a few) and plan on how to best add some color and life without making it too labor intensive for the future. (Sorry, they're not really in any order.)

The back of the house. We need to put some steps in from off of the porches. Eventually, we would like to put a deck in.
Here's the back of the house, as seen from the end of our back yard. There's a slight slope up the back, which could be pretty good for sledding when it snows!
We also found this pretty awesome storm drain at the top of the back yard. I can only imagine what the boys will throw down there in the years to come. Rocks, sticks, leaves, incriminating evidence of some sort...
Part of the field behind our house. It's locked in land, so it's very doubtful that anything will be put in there any time soon.
So, that's it! That's our new home! We're really excited to get moved in and start living like real people again. (Not the limbo we seem to be living in now.) Only two more weeks!
