Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice

This morning I decided to let Tess have some fun and pull out shirts from her drawer.  She could happily do this for hours.  (And has.)

So I opened the drawer for her and she started to pull out one shirt at a time.  After four or five she pulled out her pink monkey shirt.  She held it up and gave a little squeal of delight as she hugged it to her chest.  Then she brought it over to me and sat on my lap, letting me know that it was time to get dressed.

This girl clearly knew what she was looking for.

It took me half a second, but then I realized: Oh. My. Gosh.  I have a girl!

*squeal of delight!*

Millie has been really fascinated with me fixing my hair, and then insisting she get hers fixed, too. (Oh, and she usually wants makeup as well. Not happening.)

It is fun having a little girl and watching them come into themselves a bit more each day, even if I didn't have to go through three boys to get the girl.
