An actual conversation in the kitchen this evening:
Cole: Mmmm! I smell cookies! Are you making cookies?
Me: Um, no. But I am baking squash... and that's kinda the same thing! Yum!
I turn on the oven light to show him the roasting acorn squash.
Cole: What?! No! NO!!! WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT??!??!?
Sometimes I really love teasing my kids.
