Remember last year when I made my blog book? Well, Volume Two is now gracing our bookshelf.
This one is quite a bit larger, by about 100 pages. And that's even after I culled through the posts, getting rid of those that were video-only or just kinda lame.
I used Blurb again, and am once again completely satisfied. The software was pretty easy to use (especially since I had used it before), the quality is fabulous, and the prices were reasonable. (Well, I don't know that reasonable is the right word. It's pretty pricey. But for what you get, I think it's worth it.)
I was nervous back at the beginning of the year because Blurb was apparently experiencing technical difficulties in exporting Blogger posts. But this was fixed in time for me to start working on my book, so all was right with the world.
The only thing I don't like about this year's book is that it looks exactly like last year's. Guess it's time to get to work on a new look for my blog. (Which I'll do once my new laptop is here! Woo-hoo!)
As you can see, I used a lot more of the photo-bleed pages. I just love them - I think they look so cool!
Here's one of my favorite pages - full-sized invite for our Halloween Donut Party. And our zombie family picture. Sweet.
And I think my step-by-step instructions for cakes and breads turned out pretty cool, too.
I may not be the world's best journal writer. Okay, I'm the world's worst. But I think blogging and printing these books is a pretty good alternative.

Maren, I think that it looks great!I like the size of your book. I mean that it's portrait and not landscape. I think that was part of my downfall....that and the software was going crazy on me. I'll have to try again, now that the software works again with blogger.

yay!! Love it. Can you please post [or just e-mail me ;)] your tips for using blurb. I just downloaded the software and am about to get started on our book. I know they probably have a tutorial (which I'll watch) but I'm willing to bet you have some good advice for how to go about things!!
