Pink Elephants on Parade

Cole is obsessed with Dumbo.

I have seen/heard it approximately 3,398 times in the past 6 months.  I have every scene, every sound, every word memorized.  Want me to recite it for you?

We keep it in the mini van DVD player, and he knows that if he's good he'll get to watch it when we're out and about, running errands or getting Joshie from preschool.

I am so tired of that dang baby elephant.

Also, should I be concerned that I'm allowing my toddler to watch a movie that shows an elephant and a mouse getting so flat drunk that they have hallucinations about pink elephants, and then end up in a tree getting harassed by some very racially-stereotyped crows?

I guess it's no worse than a movie about monsters who make their living scaring children, or toys who try to kill each other with the garbage incinerator.

"I heard a fireside chat, I saw a baseball bat
And I just laughed till I thought I'd die
But I'd be done see'n about everything
when I see an elephant fly"!!!

Man, I am so tired of Dumbo.
