Tess is going through a pickle phase right now. She loves 'em. I give her at least 4-5 mini kosher dills each day for lunch or snack. (She'd eat twice that if I let her.)
This new love is fitting, considering her rather sour personality right now.
Two year olds - am I right?
Anywho, as a treat I let her pick out her own pickles today while we were grocery shopping. She chose a small, reasonably priced jar off of the shelf and cuddled it protectively all the way to the cash register. She held it on the way home. She scrambled onto her kitchen chair at the table, hardly able to wait to take that first big bite. (These pickles were about twice as big as what she was used to.)
She bit.
She scowled.
She hollered "Owweeeeeee!!!" and tried to wipe her tongue.
What?
I took a closer look at the jar.
Oops. Hot sauce flavored.
Poor Tess was heart broken; only a few regular petite koshers could make her happy again.
Well, her loss is my gain. I think these are delicious!
