Painting Surprise

Whenever I go to Utah with the boys Lance paints a room of the house.  So last week when Lance was in Utah I decided we should paint something to surprise him.

Fortunately, my dad was in town and more than willing to paint.  In fact, he took on the entire project and did a fantastic job!

The office used to be this really dark, man-caveish magenta.  It is now a nice greyish-blue which I love.  Much lighter, much friendlier, much better.  Lance claims it's a girly color, but that's too bad.  (I don't think he really cares all that much; he just had to complain about something since he missed all the painting fun.)

I only have this one picture showing before and after.  But I think you can tell it's a much needed improvement.

Now we just need to get some shelves up on the wall so we can organize and we'll be all set.  Hooray!  Between this room and the pictures I'm finally getting up on the wall this house is finally starting to feel like home.
