A Bit of This and That

Today Josh and I were talking about what will happen when the baby comes.  He is most excited about Grandpa ElRay and Grandma Susie coming out to visit.  (I don't think he cares either way about the baby.)  He already has a list of activities planned and even had me email them.  Here's the list:

• Play at the park
• Swing on the swings
• Make and throw paper airplanes
• Dye Easter Eggs (Only 48 days until Easter!  We've been keeping track!)
• Go to Chuck E Cheese
• "Not go to Monkey Joe's because it closed and I don't know why"
• Plant seeds
• Play Wii
• Watch a movie
  

When asked if he would like to visit mommy in the hospital he hemmed and hawed and finally said, "Ummm... no.  That's not very fun."  I'm completely offended.
That boy is a planner at heart, just like his momma.

Cole has discovered the power of crocodile tears.  Well, the power they had today.  He's never been one to cry for just any reason, so when he does he gets the attention he needs.  As of today he discovered this power and abused it.  Several times.  He is now upset when I ignore the tears.

Being a toddler is hard.

During Family Home Evening tonight I found myself saying, "No, Josh, we don't make paper airplanes out of our scriptures."

Yeah, that pretty much sums up all of our Family Home Evenings.

Baby Girl Madsen has discovered the joy of stretching as far and hard as she can.  It hurts.  A lot.

But, oddly, not as much as it hurt when Fetus Josh discovered the joy of pushing against my ribs.  Let's hope baby girl doesn't discover ribs any time soon.
