Ward Conference Irony

Today was our ward conference, which meant that Sacrament meeting was extra long.  This also meant that the boys - especially COLE - were extra hard to deal with.

I'm not sure how, but even kids who can't tell time know when a meeting has gone on longer than usual.

Not only did I have to wrestle with Cole for basically the entire meeting, but I also got to experience the wonderful irony of dragging him out, kicking and screaming, as the Stake President spoke about how when he had young children he sometimes wondered why they went to church.

*Clarification: Cole was the one kicking and screaming, not me.  Although I sure felt like it.  Rotten toddler!*

Anwyho, Amen, President Ellis.  Sometimes I really do wonder why I'm going to church because I am certainly not getting anything out of it.  I know President Ellis went on with some really good analogy about why we still go to church with little kids, but I didn't really get to hear any of it because of the little caged animal I was dealing with.

In other news, Josh has apparently become a minor celebrity within the ward for his antics during the Primary Program last week.  The bishop even singled him out during his talk today. 

This is most awesome.  Mainly because Josh hates notoriety.  Maybe this will teach him to behave better during next year's program.

Probably not.
