Or so I thought.
Either these are some very rare anaheim-jalapeno variety, or someone mixed up the plants. (By the way, here's what my plant was marked with. I stuck it in next to the plant when I planted it in order to avoid confusion. So at least I know I didn't pick up the wrong plant by mistake!)

Our banana pepper died. And we didn't remember what kind of pepper it was when we were at the garden store... so we bought another jalapeno. Maybe we could work out a deal!
