I've had each child accidentally throw away the occasional old piece of Tupperware, but I've never had one throw away their super deluxe water bottle.
Until today.
Poor Cole was pretty upset with himself when I opened his lunch box to find it empty. (Kindergarten tears are their own special kind of heartbreaking!) I assured him it was okay, that I still loved him, and that, yes, I would buy him another water bottle.
But no, not right now.
No, Cole. Not right now.
NO. Because I have other things I need to do. I will get one the next time I go to the store.
No, I don't know when that will be. But it's not right now. NOT RIGHT NOW.
Suddenly, those Kindergarten tears aren't quite so heart breaking.
