Home at last!

I am finally back from a whirlwind Roper family vacation. I'd love to post all about it tonight, but can't for the following reasons:

• I have a 675 page book that I am editing, and am only on page 90. My boss has been politely hinting that she would like the first chapter soon.
• I am in the middle of a laundry marathon.
• Josh is crawling everywhere and simply cannot be trusted alone.
• I'm feeling pretty lazy.

But I can tell you that most of the trip was pretty fun. There was honestly never a dull moment. Here are a few highlights to whet your whistle for my next few posts:

• Going from 0 to 120 mph in 4 seconds
• Spider infested hallways
• Riding the L for the first time
• Monkey house melt-downs
  
• Swimming in spit
• Participating in the Chicago Tour de Potty
• The most dangerous poonami ever
