Cake of the Month - Luurrrvve Cake

Luurrrvve Cake is also known as Deeply Chocolate Almond Cake with Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting. Same difference.

The cake is actually for Valentine's Day (in case the large, cherry heart didn't clue you in), but I made it a day ahead of time because the recipe recommended it to give the flavors "time to meld". I think I did a pretty good job this time - the cake is pretty even all the way around and the frosting even looks pretty good. I was going to pipe some frosting around the bottom to give it a finished look, but then Josh woke up from his nap and I knew my cake decorating was done for the day.

I used The Cake Mix Doctor again, and again I was not dissappointed. Josh, however, was very dissappointed when I caught him trying to climb up and have a taste.
Sorry Josh - you're just gonna have to wait until tomorrow night to get a little Luurrrvve!
