Tonight we started reading the illustrated Old Testament Stories with the kids. We read about the pre-mortal existence and the plan of salvation. Then we read about the creation of the earth. Josh was especially enamored with the picture of all the animals. (I feel a trip to the zoo this summer coming on!)Anyway, I guess Spencer was actually listening. (Miracle of miracles!) Well, kinda. In his own four-year-old way. Because here's an excerpt from his bedtime prayers:
"... and thank you that I could have a body that can jump on the bed. And I like to jump on the bed and not get hurt. And that Mommy has a body and Daddy, and Josh, but he is small. But he will get big. And thank you for the earth and for the planets. And bless rockets, so I can see the planets. The planets are really far away..."
Bedtime prayers are a lot more interesting now that Spencer says pretty much whatever he thinks. :)
