Remember last summer when I had basil growing out the yin-yang?Well this year it's peppermint. What started out as a scrawny little plant barely clinging to life in my kitchen windowsill has exploded into a healthy, vibrant, taking-over-the-sage-so-I-have-to- constantly-prune-it peppermint plant.
I've been looking online for recipes with fresh peppermint in them, but have been coming up empty-handed. Would peppermint work in place of fresh mint? Anyone have any ideas?
At least the peppermint makes a pretty centerpiece.

When I was growing up my mom would always plant a ton of that right by the back door of our house so that she could constetantly smell it. Oh, fond memories. Unfortunately, I don't recall her ever using it for anything.
