I have declared war on all the bugs in my garden and yard.They started it.
The Japanese beetles have been completely destroying my basil and a bush in my front flowerbed. Random other bugs are attacking my beloved tomatoes. And last year grubs tried to eat our entire front lawn, and my spies tell me they're going to try again this year.
Jerks.
I've tried reasoning with the bugs, yelling at them, and sending my boys to harass them, but to no avail. It's time to break out the big guns.
So I spent yesterday evening mowing, spreading Spectracide Triaxicide, watering, and spraying Sevin all over the garden. I am a completely unorganic farmer, and I'm okay with that.
A billion tiny insect screams can be heard from the lawn.
It's a good feeling.

The screams from my yard have just been added to the mix - death to Japanese Beetles - like you said - they started it!
I recommend Sevin that comes in a powder. I love it. Although it may provoke curiousity from the children, since the powder stays on the plants until it rains.
