Okay, fashionistas, I need some advice. I am falling in lurrrve with these new Terrain Jane shoes from Land's End. Aren't they cute? My question is, do you think I could get away with wearing socks with them? Or would that just look dorky?
I can't really justify buying more summer shoes right now. But if I could wear some thin socks with these I could wear them in the Fall and the not-so-wet or snowy days in winter.
Oh, one other question: Ivory, Herb Green, or Garnet?

Because this is of the greatest importance, I'm sure.

Herb green. Definitely. I don't know about socks. I think with some longish jeans or pants you could get away with it. Just don't let me catch you wearing socks with those while sporting a pair of shorts! :)
As always, take my advice with a grain of salt. I've been known to sport socks with my crocs (and shorts!).
No worries about the shorts with socks - I left that fashion trend in high school. (Where it was, rather unfortunately, in fashion!)
I am thinking the same thing. You can do it if you are wearing long pants or jeans.
And I like herb green the best too.
I'd get them for next summer and look for something else for fall. So, you get the no socks vote from me!

I have to agree with Gigi...no socks. I bet you could get away with wearing them in the fall even without socks, but not in the winter...sorry. And as for color...the ivory would get dirty way too fast. I think the green would be more neutral, although it might be fun to go garnet! I haven't seen what it looks like though, so I can't really tell. Good luck!
No, no, no socks!! Of course I wear flip flops in the middle of winter so I'm not known to be a sock lover to begin with. These shoes are ADORABLE and I would get them - even if I couldn't justify buying them - and go with green, since you couldn't get your other pair in that color.
I'd go red, cause I love red! But I'd say no socks (cause I hate wearing sandals and socks), but they may look on you with jeans and socks...
Well, I like the green, ivory or khaki. And you can only wear socks with them if you are taking fashion advice from Lance (since he wears white socks with everything, hehe.) So, no offense but no socks, unless your pants were so wide and long that they would never show. Also, I've decided when it comes to shoes, jewelry or anything else you love, you don't have to justify it. It's only money after all. You'll make more. :-)))
I'm having the same dilemma with a similar pair of shoes! I think you could wear "not socks" with them, but they would still leave the tops of your feet bare which would probably be miserable in the Indiana winters. I've decided I would go without socks, but Texas winters are a whole different story. As for the color - I LOVE the garnet!
Okay, it's good to know that so many people are concerned with my footwear. :) It's also good to know that I wasn't off the mark when I wondered if socks would look dorky. (I thought maybe I was being a little too picky.)
