License to Ill

Spencer cracks me up.  Often.  Such as today during Sacrament meeting.

Bishopric Counselor Conducting Sacrament Meeting: ... And we'd like to excuse Brother So-and-So today.  He is home ill...

At that point Spencer climbs over Lance and whispers in my ear, earnestly and in all seriousness.

Spencer: Mommy!  Brother So-and-So was killed!

It took me a second to connect the dots on his logic.  It took me another 20 seconds to squelch my giggling.

Me: Spencer, he wasn't killed.  He is ill.  Ill is another word for being sick.  Oh, and no more violent video games for you.

Spencer was a little embarrassed, but that made the whole thing even cuter.

In other news...

Did you know that when little kids sing as loud as they can, they simply cannot sing in tune? Our Primary chorister had the children sing "When Jesus Christ was Baptized" as loudly as they could.  The results were hilariously cute.  I don't think a single adult in the room kept their composure.  Luckily, the children took our poorly muffled laughter as a sign that they had done a good job.

I secretly hope they sing like that for the Primary Program.  It'll make things sooo much more entertaining!
