**Update: I should give Lance a littel more redit. He noticed my hair cut (which was really just a trim and styled a little differently) about 10 minutes after coming home. He noticed the color about an hour later.**There comes a point in every woman's life when she has to take a stand against one of the more tragic side effects of childbirth: gray hair. Okay, I know you don't have to have kids in order to get gray hairs. But I didn't start getting them until after I had Spencer. And I started getting even more after Josh. And even MORE once Josh turned two. (Coincidence? I think not.)
I like to think I'm not too vain. I'm never gonna be one of those face-lift-botox old ladies, hell-bent on reversing the inevitable. However, I'm only 30. And those grays, however few, were really beginning to bother me.
Plus, I was kinda bored with my hair.
So here's a before shot.
And here's about two hours later.
Waddya think? I really like it. It's actually a bit brighter red than I expected, but I still like it. It looks darker from farther away, but up close it's pretty red and edgy and makes me feel like a rock star. So do the leather pants.
Kidding.
Anywho, I thought I would hate coloring my hair. But I actually liked it; it wasn't that bad at all. This could be dangerous. I feel a blond bombshell coming on...
(Again, kidding! Or am I?...)
(Answer: yes. I would look stupid as a blond. But it's fun to imagine.)
Oh - and as of this posting Lance has yet to notice my hair. Then again, he hasn't come home yet, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. I'll keep you posted.
Oh wait - he just walked in the door. Nothing. Nada. This could be funny/interesting. Again.

Lovin' it. Definitely rock star-ish. Zach always notices my hair and comments - Oh I like your hair cut Mommy! At some point Jason, knowing that I was at the salon because he was home with the kids, gives me the obligatory, You look nice. Men.

I have actually wanted my hair that color but I have been told trying to go to that from blond would most likely turn bright orange which does NOT sound rockstar-ish to be me!

You are so brave, I have never dyed my hair, but if I started noticing grays I would have to do the same thing. I really like it, it's look fun and funky, but yet mature too...nice work!!
