Cry no more, my friends - my 1/2 c measuring cup has returned!
He had been hiding in the very back of the dishwasher, on the bottom under the heating element. He was somehow magically camouflaged because we didn't see him for his entire two month hiatus. But I randomly decided to clean the dishwasher today and found him there.
Oh happy day!
