YW Banner

Several months ago our Stake Young Women's presidency asked all of us and our YW to make banners that represented ourselves.  Then we'd hang them up at our stake YW in Excellence night.  (Which was excellent, by the way.)

Now I'm finally getting around to documenting my banner, which I dang well better do since I spent several hours on it.  (Which begs the question, what do I do with it now?  It's a work of art!  That I don't want to have hanging around the house!  Hmm... maybe it should hang in my office.  That seems a good place for it.)

Anywho, here's my banner.

Between this and all the hair accessories I make for Tess, can you tell I like felt crafts?

I especially think my family is cute. That's supposed to be Lance's goatee, although I kinda think it just makes him look like he's singing.  Oh well.  And I love Cole's little blond head there.  He totally sticks out like that.  (Although he keeps getting darker.  I bet he'll be a dark brown brunette once he's an adult.  Sad.)

I love to cook.  And I love my KitchenAid.

I'm still editing!  Generally I do this on the computer, but that was hard to translate onto felt.  Side note: currently I am actually editing someone's 130 page top-secret thesis old school style - with paper and pen.  I have already thought "man, I wish I could copy and paste that with my pen" at least 28 times.

Does this really need explaining?  No.  No it does not.

Blogging was also a bit difficult to visualize.  I did my best.

The Timpanogos Temple, where Lance and I were sealed.  I thought the angel Moroni blob was clever.

I'm not really a flower gardener, but I didn't want to have to make tiny corn and tomato plants.  Plus, I do make lots of felt flowers in real life, so two birds-one stone, right?
