Fried Food Week

Just thought I'd post all of the pictures from our fried food week. My arteries are now quite greased and running nicely. Erlack.

We actually started on Halloween night with the French fries the Reams brought with them for dinner. They were eaten too fast for me to take a picture. 😉

Then we had mini corn dogs and seasoned fries. Delish.

This was followed by homemade crispy chicken strips. (I had mine on a salad. With low fat, low calorie ranch. Because that makes the fried chicken better, right?)

Then it was on to homemade mozzarella sticks and fried zucchini. I'm pretty sure fried cheese is one of the most delicious things ever created. We might not have a full fried food week next year, but we will definitely be having fried mozzarella sticks!

And tonight, for the grand finale, we had Utah scones with honey butter and fresh raspberries, peach fritters, and onion straws.

Then scones were a little piece of heaven. The onions were dangerously addictive. But the fritters were very disappointing. (Just not a great recipe. Blech.)

Thus endeth fried food week in the Madsen house. I feel like we should all go run laps and eat nothing but raw fruits and veggies for the next week.
