I think the amount of blogging I do must be inversely proportional to how warm it is outside. Now that it's nice out we've been spending a lot of time working in the yard, gardening, playing at the park, and just playing outside. Fun!
But since it's a rainy day the blog has been calling my name...
This week I got to help my cousin, Laura, with her GeoGnome project. She is in ninth grade at a school in Orem UT. Their assignment was to send their gnome somewhere around the world and have the recipient take a photo of the gnome and send it back. You can see a gallery of other GeoGnomes here.
I was pretty busy this week, so I didn't have time to go down to Indie or really brainstorm some interesting places around Lafayette. So I went with the obvious and found a cornfield and some pictures around campus (kudos to Spencer, my cutie-pie gnome holder!):

My question for you is,What are some places around the Lafayette/West Lafayette area that you would have gone to for this project? Why?
If I can, I'll try to get to each place mentioned some time during the summer and take a picture with Wilbur and my other two little gnomes, Spencer and Josh! Consider it a Madsegnome not-quite-so-geo project. :) I'll be anxiously awaiting your responses!

How about Wolf Park? Howling with the wolves.
I love to go to Battleground. We like to go and look at the monument and then go for a hike. I'm sure that we'll go on Monday since it's been 2 years in a row that we've gone there, I'll blog it for you.
The Potholes park or one of the covered bridges in the small towns south of here (don't remember the name of the town/county, but there are lots about 1-2 hours away).
