Cravings

I haven't really had any strong cravings with this pregnancy. (With Spencer it was fruit-flavored candy. With Josh it was fruit juice.) But for the past two weeks I have been really wanting one of Wendy's Spicy Chicken Sandwiches. It's because of that ad on TV for it, with the guy who's eating it during all the important times of his life.

(And let me just take a side note here and say that if Lance ever ate a Spicy Chicken Sandwich in front of a very pregnant me at what appears to be a Lamaze class and didn't have one for me... well, it wouldn't end well, my friends.)

Anyways, TV ads don't usually affect me like that, but this one did. I had been holding back on the craving for quite a while, but today I finally gave in. Spencer was at 'lunch bunch' at preschool and Joshie and I were out and about and hungry.

I got the sandwich.

It was spicy. It was crispy. It was satisfying.

It started some contractions.

Okay, I can't say for sure that these contractions are related. But it's very suspicious they started so soon after lunch... Not that these contractions have been productive or anything. Just uncomfortable enough for me to spend most of the afternoon on the couch and not get anything done. (Besides, we don't want any 'good' contractions! This baby won't be done for four more weeks.)

So, despite the contractions and the wasted afternoon, was it worth it?

Definitely.
