Nope - I don't need info on how to nurse a baby. That's something I'm alllll too familiar with. And will be again. Soon.
When I have a nursing baby I like to read books at the same time. Even in the middle of the night. It's either read a book or fall asleep and wake up groggily a few hours later when baby is ready to eat again. (And no matter how comfy a chair is, what little sleep I get at night shouldn't be had sitting up!)
So I've decided to start a collection of books for me to read once the baby comes. They need to be good, interesting reads, but nothing that involves a lot of thought. (JK Rowling? Yes. Dostoevsky? No.)
Any recommendations?

We just did a library day with the girls for Activity Day and there were a few of them that were reading The Candy Shop War and one of the other leaders had read it as well and they all loved it! I haven't read it but I think I might if I get around to it! Hey, maybe I should have a nursing baby so I have an excuse! LOL!
P.S. if it's not good, remember that it was 10 year olds giving the recommendation :)
I have really been enjoying books by Shannon Hale, like Princess Academy, Book of a Thousand Days, and Austenland. I also just read Dragonhaven by Robin McKinley, and it was pretty interesting. Let us know your list when you get one compiled! I am always looking for suggestions on what to read next!
I second Kerry on Austenland. I just finish reading the Wednesday Letters and it was pretty good. You can borrow it if you want.
I recommend the Newberry Award and Honor books. They're interesting - but simply written so you don't have to think at all. (I would start with the most recent awards and work my way back - the earlier award winners are a little harder to get through, a little boring.)
If I were in your shoes, I would take a trip back in time and read Nancy Drew or the Brady Boys or whatever they were named. But I guess reading recent novels, books etc would be good too. I just don't know any of them. :-)

My nursing book reading list: "Anytime, Anywhere" by John Groberg, "The Message" by Lance Richardson, and *embarrassed cough* the "Twilight" series.
I have enjoyed books by Shannon Hale, easy reads no heavy thinking involved. I have also read Twilight, should I be embarrassed? I enjoyed them.
Most of the Clive Cussler books are really good. There are quite a few of them. I prefer the Dirk Pitt series.
James Herriott. He's a veterinarian in England. All Creatures Great and Small series. I don't like animals, but I LOVED his books! Very funny, easy read, and each storyline takes only a chapter or two, so it's easy to read in small bits.
