You find momma birds nesting in your bushes.
For some reason this bird chose the bush right next to the garage, so it has to deal with the mini van brushing by all the time. Stupid bird. Also, it's a pigeon, which I'm not a big fan of. Aren't there enough flying rats in the world? However, it's low enough that all three boys can easily check on her whenever they want.
Your bushes start blossoming.
This is getting pretty, although I have to admit my extreme sadness in not discovering any daffodils or tulips on our property this year. Apparently the last owners never bothered with bulb plants. Part of the problem is that all of our flower beds are covered in rock instead of bark. In most ways this is really nice - minimal weeding, low maintenance, the rock lasts forever, etc. But I kinda doubt that bulb plants would like growing there. I'm bound and determined to plant some tulips and daffodils this fall, though. I just have to figure out where... Suggestions?
Toddlers start going pantsless and destroying our bed.
Cole had a blowout late in the day. It was at least 70 degrees, and I'm all about minimizing the amount of laundry that needs to be done, and he won't hold still long enough for me to put pants on anyway. Destroying the bed doesn't have anything to do with Spring, but Cole sure does like doing it lately.

Did you know doves are pigeons? True story.
We have a ditch in our backyard where the previous owners saw fit to dump all sorts of natural trash, including a bunch of rocks. Every year the most beautiful tulips grow out of those rocks. So you may be able to put them in the rocky soil. Can't hurt to try!
I'm no winged rat expert but that bird really looks like a morning dove to me. Pigeons tend to nest up high on buildings. I'll have to check it out next saturday.
