Holy cow. This happened TWO years ago?! How can that be?!
But since today is pretty busy and because Tess doesn't really care either way, we aren't celebrating until Saturday.
Still, I couldn't let the day go without something a little special. I made pancakes for breakfast and put two candles on them. (Josh was SUPER EXCITED about this. Mental note: do this for Josh's birthday.) I also gave Tess one of her gifts: a homemade princess crown.
If you know Tess, then you know that she likes flowers, hats, and flowey fabric on her head. That's why I knew this crown would go over very well.
She wore it ALL morning, preening and running and spinning. I had to be the mean mom and not let her wear it for her nap, mainly because I'm pretty sure it would get destroyed once she woke up.
It makes a momma's heart happy.
Typical Tess - she's totally fine. I just wouldn't let her wallow in the mud puddles.
Tess's favorite book right now is Cinderella, and she kept talking about it and saying "Cinderella" and touching her crown.
I'm so glad our little princess loves her gift!
