Tonight at dinner we learned that Cole does not consider himself a kid. AT ALL. Is he an adult? No. Is he a teenager? No. Is he a baby? NO. What is he, then?
"A boy."
So from now on when I introduce myself I'm going to say that I have three kids and a Cole. Anyone who knows Cole at all will understand this completely.
Tess has always had issues with gender pronouns. I've tried, with no success, to get her say them correctly, but for whatever reason everyone is a "he" or "him".
Tonight at dinner was no better.
Lance: Tess, are you a he or a she?
Tess: I'm a girl.
Lance: Yes, but are you a he or a she?
Tess: I'm. A. GIRL.
Lance: Okay, is Mommy a he or a she?
Tess: She's a... BOY!!
**Cue shrieks of laughter from the peanut gallery.**
