Scrapbooks - College - Freshman Year - Canyon Adventure

The story is pretty self-explanatory. I'm not sure why I decided it needed to be aggrandized in this manner, but it must have been appropriate at the time! (Please note, though, that all of the events in this story are TRUE.) ((Really and truly.))

A few clarifications: yes, Elary used a knife to start her VW bus. (Affectionately called the Love Bus.) I don't think she even owned a key. There were holes in the floor and you could watch the road during the drive. Yes, it was AWESOME for college freshmen.

Jon was Mindi's beau at the time. Cool guy. Dave was a friend to all of us. He was a good guy. (I just remembered one time he was over at our apartment and it was getting late. There were curfews at the dorms, and boys couldn't be in our apartment after midnight. Anyways, we were all goofing around. I think we were playing this weird game where we would turn off all the lights and then pose in weird ways at the picture window and flash the lights on and off while people walked by. Yes, we were SO COOL. Anyways, we were doing that with Dave there. (There may have been another guy there, too. I don't remember.) And Andy From Sandy, one of the RA's, walked by and saw us do the flashing thing (not THAT kind of flashing, window-drama-flashing) and we all fell to the floor in a fit of giggles when we realized it was him. And he knocked on our door and told us that it was time for our little "guy friend"... or was it "male friend"? I don't remember. It was just really dorky the way he said it and we all literally rolled around on the floor laughing so hard. Oh man. Stacey, am I missing something to this story? You'd remember...) Anywho, Dave was a good guy. I should see if he's on Facebook. (Hah! He is!)

Who were the boys stealing the ball? I have no idea.

Okay, the cooing might not have actually happened. But the stick throwing and bike stealing? Yes.
