At Death's Door

The flu got me. Fast, hard, and strong.

Sunday night I started to feel a little gross and a couple hours later I was so sick I just wanted to die. Okay, maybe not die. But a nice, productive coma would have been a welcomed relief.

I was sick all night, and by Monday morning I was pretty out of it. I told Lance that he needed to stay home and take care of the kids because there was no way I could do it. I explained what he needed to do for Spencer's swimming lessons and then staggered off to bed.

Then I slept and slept some more and had those weird dreams I always have when I'm sick. Then I got up and dozed and watched TV while Spencer played computer all day and Josh threw toys at my face. (At least until Lance rescued me.)

It was a long day.

I'm feeling a little better today. Well enough to take Spencer to preschool and do some very slow-paced grocery shopping with Josh. And a little blogging. But now I think I've reached my limit. Time for a nap while Josh is sleeping. Spencer will probably play on the computer for the rest of the day, and once he wakes up Josh will probably attack me with toys again until Lance comes home to rescue me.
