Happy First Birthday!

Happy first birthday to my blog!

It's been a great year. Very therapeutic. Very cathartic. Very lucrative. Very fun!

In honor of the day, I decided to make my monthly cake. But since we were going to have a house full of kids tomorrow I thought cupcakes were more appropriate. I decided on Chocolate Cupcakes with Peanut Butter Frosting, courtesy of the Cake Mix Doctor, because they sounded AWESOME. (Okay, really, it was the first cake recipe I came across that I had all the ingredients for.)

Josh and Spencer helped me make the cupcakes. And of course they took one for the team and helped lick the bowl. (Way to sacrifice, boys!)


I overcooked the cupcakes a little bit, but no biggie since everyone knows that kids will eat cupcakes made of concrete if offered. But then I found out that the kids aren't coming. But no matter, because I'm sure the boys (including Lance this time) will take another one for the team and eat at least six each. (Or you can come over and help yourself - really!)
