I was surprised and sad when I heard the news last night of President Gordon B. Hinckley's passing.
Anyone who reads this blog regularly knows that I'm more at home with satire and sarcasm rather than solemn, so I'll keep this brief: I know that President Hinckley was a modern day prophet of God. He was a righteous servant of the Lord and a wonderful example of all we should strive to be. He will be sorely missed and fondly remembered.
Today I have particularly tried to keep his teaching of "try a little harder to be a little better" in the front of my mind.
